Just a DC3
Just a DC3
Taken at Pierce County Airport near Seattle a few weeks ago. Can also be seen on page 8 of Novembers edition of Flypast.
Cheers,
Andy
Re: Just a DC3
Dare I say it, but the first photo would probably look better without the DC-3 in it! Lovely image, all the same.

Yep, very nice Andy. Looks a tad 'parky'. Regards, Ian
Re: Just a DC3
Excuse me for asking but why "Just a DC.3"? I take it you mean it in the sense that it was "on it's own"?

Re: Just a DC3
That background clutter really ruins the first pic
Great stuff mate

Re: Just a DC3
Very nice photo but i am drawn first to the background as only half of the DC3 is covered.
Re: Just a DC3
Cheers Chris!
Rich, thanks for the comment.
Yep, the crop is a little awkward but there was too much clutter behind the port wing for my liking. Plus the one below didn't have the same impact for me as the first shot above.

Could I just apologise if I have offended anybody with what I wrote in my previous post I typed earlier AndyBeau I did realise after I wrote it and posted that there was a degree of sarcasm in what had been written........
Re: Just a DC3
Very nice Andy and congratulations on getting picture of the week .
Still think mine is better though, they turned her around a couple of days after you left.
Just kidding

The full frame photo is really nice. To me, the clutter is minimal and doesn't impact the picture in my opinion.

Re: Just a DC3
I really like the first one, the crop turns it from a head on image of a DC3 with a mountain behind, into a picture.
Re: Just a DC3
Keith, beauty! Kicking myself now for not making time to shoot it properly. Has it flown yet?
Rich, I can see your point however we are only viewing a small image on a screen. Printed out at A4 the windsock would stick out like a sore thumb.
A bit of editing would sort it but it just doesn't have the same impact for me.
Nick sums up my thoughts nicely.
Each to their own though.
Thanks again for the comments.

Hi Andy - No not flown yet, in fact she hasn't moved since they turned her around.
