Phil, is it OK if I let you know on Monday? My driving test is that morning, and all things going well I'll be able to drive up to Northolt. If not I'm afraid I won't be able to get there. Bricking it!

Phil, I think I may have missed the joining instruction....but what time is gates open. Or what time would you prefer vehicles turning up ?
I assume it will be before the 45 Sqd King Air arrives ?

Phil,
Shame about the CL415 - just hope that any bad weather remains "en-route" rather than "local"!
A point about the use of flash - I noticed at the last event that some people were using it when the Police EC145 was spooling up for departure, despite the instructions to the contrary. Would it not be simpler to ban the use of flash altogether and re-enforce this message in the safety briefing on arrival? I, for one, can not see the benefit of trying to use flash when taking in to account the distance we will be from the aircraft, or am I missing something?

Cheers,
Ralph

I agree Ralph flash does seem pointless when the aircraft are illuminated enough anyway and all you will get is a nice white flash mark appear on the aircraft even if you could get close enough.

Pity, I was looking forward to something unusual and colourful to draw over the Christmas period. I bet 'Option 2' doesn't pan out either.

I agree about the flash as well.

Usual offer to anyone who wants a lift from the gate tomorrow. Dark red Focus. Just tap on the window. Depending on the M40 I hope to be there about 5.20...

Looks like Phil's timed things perfectly with the weather again - the current Heathrow TAF is showing this at the end: BECMG 0313/0316 9999 SCT030. For those that can't decode these, it means that between 1pm and 4pm on the 3rd the weather will become greater than 10km visibility with scattered cloud at 3000ft. That'll do nicely thank you very much! This is after a day of forecast low cloud and rain in various amounts. Fingers crossed it's correct!

Another great evening Phil thanks a lot.!! See you at the next one!!.

I'll leave all the experts to post their pictures first and I may add mine if I feel brave enough.

Sorry I missed you Huw, I did wait at the gate for a while and looked for you inside, but what with everyone wearing balaclavas and stuff it was difficult to see who was who.

Unfortunately I was unable to make it today due to a sudden high study workload (they really know the best times to pile work on!), I'm sorry if you had to wait around

Also an apology to Phil, I was going to give you a ring/text on your mobile but my phone battery was dead and I can't for the life of me find a charger that fits! Rest assured I'll be able to make the next Nightshoot after exams have been and gone.

Cheers, Huw
