Randolph AFB Airshow November 2009

Post by PeteFenwick »

Only my second post on this hallowed forum. Comments and suggestions very welcome.
The light on the saturday was not great, lot of shooting towards the sun. The light at the end of the day when the F22 went up was terrible, facing towards a setting sun (the F22 was delayed a good while due as I understand to commercial traffic at San Antonio international).

F18 returned for a fast pass and turned at show centre for an underneath shock wave photo opportunity

C17 and C47 Cargo heritage Flight-can appreciate the size differnce

Close up of the C17 and C47 flight, the angle diminishs the space between-but looks very small.

Thanks for viewing and here's hoping for a sunny 2010.

F22 Raptor-rather heavily edited because of the poor light but very rarely get to even see one.

Thanks for the kind responses and as requested 4 pics of the Collings Foundation A4 Skyhawk. The flying ones were taken the week before at Wings over Houston (the light was better) and the landing/taxing shots at Randolph. Hope you enjoy.

An interesting selection - the Dak/Globemaster shots really make you think.

Some very good shots there. The C17 and C47 shots are particually interesting for the comparison of old and new.
Have you any more of that superb looking Skyhawk from the Collins foundation?....what a beut!

Nice shots!!!

I was really amazed by the size difference between the C-17 and the C-47.
