Fresh ( ) from my 2009 photo queue: some photos from Airpower 09 - in my humble opinion, Europe's best airshow! :yahoo:

Can't beat a set where the majority of the images have the 'wow' factor - good stuff!

Very nice pictures. The Breitling Team head on taxiing shot is superb! I think it should be a candidate for photo of the week. The Turkish Star jet flying towards the camera with all the red smoke is well captured as well. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful stuff - the F-4U is my favourite because the slow shutter speed really emphasises how massive that prop really is!

And yes, it was a wonderful show - certainly the best 'pure' airshow I attended last year. If there's to be another in 2011 I'll definitely be back!

Humm.. the F4U is a actually bit of a cheating ;) it was a bit blurry and I had to postprocess it a lot, in order to make it look OK, even in 900x600 ;-)
Me too, in 2011 I'll be there again, no matter what.

Somehow I don't have lots of these... looks like it didn't fly a lot. I guess just a single nice one:

Not kidding..Nice! Excellent! more like. Thanks for posting. If you have no objection I may make that my wallpaper (better than a photo of myself looking over the grand canyon).

Let hope that some of these exotic aircraft that are leaving the UK for European fields and coming form further way can make it to Legends or any UK airshows this year. I personally would love to see a P-38 in the air in UK again.

As a slight aside. Looking at some of those "RED BULL" paint schemes they don't look too bad. Even add a liitle bit "extra" something a bit different. If it keeps these wonderful machines in the air then I personally can't see the problem.

Still think '558 could do with a little...if it "gives her wings"...

Muflon, you have some great shots there. . Thanks for the extra P-38. As you have probably noticed I'm a big fan of this aircraft.
