The new Twister Duo have been added today

Not a dig but in general please wait until i have 100% confirmed things and either myself or Colin (press chappy) will then confirm on various forums.

Perhaps you need to aim this towards the acts you are confirming for your show, if someone sees something on an acts website they are bound to put it on here. Not a dig back but I don't think the post was really necessary.

I think one of the issues here is that the original poster didn't clarify where he got the info from. Its always a good idea to include details of the source, as in some ways it can avoid situations like this developing.

The Twister website (rightly or wrongly) does indeed list Abingdon, so based on that - the poster was entitled to post that information here too.

However, I do think Oldtower's post was necessary, at the same time: in principal it would be nice for those involved in organising shows to maintain a degree of exclusivity. In this instance that wasn't possible, as obviously the info was already in the public domain. Best option I reckon is probably to draw a line under this and look forward to future Abingdon updates.

The reason for mentioning it, is because last year a couple of owners listed our show on their website and people assumed we had booked the acts, but in fact we didn't know anything about it - just saves some confusion.. anyhow i can confirm the following:

Flying - Twister Duo, SF260 Marchetti (ex italian air force & its first public display)
Static - UH60 (SHAPE Flt)
2013 Abingdon Airshow - Sunday 5th May, Abingdon Airfield.

Colin/Neil,
If you can send me a pdf of the poster I can get some printed off and distributed around work and various public houses in the Staines/Ashford area like I did last year. PM me and I will reconfirm my email address. The reason I have said this here is because others may wish to do the same - particularly if it means visiting pubs!

Cheers,
Ralph

Almost - depends if Tutor is confirmed and one 'other' may come off yet as one within my original list which is subject to change at any time maybe a reserve act or not be with us..! Will see but if the other comes off its fast & noisy and its not UK Mil ! Will see so fingers are crossed but no promises or the like.. is a gamble!

I notice from another thread that you were interested in getting hold of contact details for the Sea Vixen......could it be a strong possibility?
