Boeing's Biggest - 747-8

Post by expat1 »

After a one hour delay for weather Boeing's latest and greatest flew for the first time yesterday.

Directly into sun, so awful light. But it does show the moment the undercarrage left terra-firma for the very first time

As she climbed out Boeing's T-33s chase planes joined up on each wing. I think it looks remarkably like the A-380 from this angle!!

Then she was gone. Disappearing into the clouds.

Nice pictures. How much bigger is it than the other 747s?

18 feet, 4 inches (5.6 m) longer
The wings and engines look bigger too

Great shots Keith  I really like the third and fourth shots.

Would be interesting if they were to send it to Farnborough and Airbus were to send a '380 too
