Nimrod thread.

With the Nimrod completing 40 years in service with the RAF last year and its retirement being imminent, I thought that time was ripe for a dedicated thread for the Nimrod. The idea is to post a single photo of each individual 'plane in each distinctive guise including conversions and special markings. Only one image per post including the ID, and one post at at a time please.

Good thread, hope to see a few good shots on here. I've got quite a lot of Nimrods through the 80's and early 1990's.

I can already see XV260 posted above, but thought I'd post one of it in it's special green tail scheme parked up on Airshow arrivals day at RAF St Mawgan 1993.

XV240 will be one of the lucky ones, and will finish it's career as "gate guardian" at RAF Kinloss. Some spares have been robbed from it, including the windscreen wipers :
