I got a few - Cot´smore - Hall - Norty Nite
During the past couple of weeks my missus and I have been in the UK to find a home for our oncoming move. Despite being across for practical reasons one could not leave the camera at home and one selfishly dragged the missus along for a few short photo sessions %)
First stop was Cottesmore en route to Scotland to visit friends. 45 minutes by the fence produce the below:
What a lovely place Cottesmore was. The 3-ship aircraft all made 3-4 Touch and go´s at different speeds and heights, on even hovering and bowing for the photographers. I loved the fact that the runway is so close to the low fence that one can litterally spit onto it :Yahoo!:
After an extended week end in Glasgow we drove to Wales. Weather was great leaving Glasgow (weird really %) ) but upon crossing into Wales the rain started. Next day I had a quick visit on top on Cad East stil in rain and with no aircraft in sight. I decided not to stick around and we headed to England again. Shortly after exirting Wales sun started shining orry:
On the way to our Hotel in Stansted I decided on a quick diversion past the Hall. Been ages since I was last at Mildenhall and got lucky with a few goodies in the 45 minutes I was there:
Not bad for 45minutes ehh? Light was a little tricky but I was well chuffed with catching the Awacs circuit bashing :good:
Next was a pre-planned photo shoot; The Northolt Night Shoot. What a fantastic event this was. A BIG thumbs up to the organisers.
Here´s just a few select shots all taken with use of my trusted beanbag. Damn hard work, but well worth it me thinks:
Well thats all folks. C & C welcome as always.

Some really good shots in what is a fantastic set, Wish I could get that lucky at the Hall in a day let alone 45mins.

Nice pictures. We spoke at Cott just as you were returning to the missus! (That is my back in shot 6). I thoroughly enjoyed my morning there.

Some lovely shots. Great catches at Mildy - love the Sentry! The night shots are some of the best I've seen from the event too. The last one is an absolute cracker!

Great work....is that AWACS doing an approach with a single engine failure in the last pic??

Thanks for all the nice word guys - much appreciated
I remember, great to meet you Richard and thanks for posing for my shot
Funny I hadn´t noticed the missing smoke from that engine. I doubt there were any problems as the Sentry departed for good after its last touch n´go. It might have been part of the training landing on three engines only - who knows, Im no expert in such things

Super set, but I do like the first shot of the Harrier three-ship.

Thanks again to everyone acknowledging my work and effort to bring interesting image selections from my trips. I really appreciate every comment I get from you all. You rock
I am using two lenses; The Canon 100-400L and the Sigma 18-200, both which I am not overly impressed with. Although they offer great range the are not overly impressive quality wise. If I had the financens I´d be shooting with prime lenses only
