Old Warden (Shuttleworth) - 13/04/10 (pm)

Post by viper28 »

Heard quite a lot of movements on the scanner going on over at Old Warden yesterday afternoon, which is unusal for mid-week. So when I had some spare time I popped over, thinking It might be good practice. Turns out it was one of the pilot training days ( I should read the forum more often!). I was only there for about 2-hrs (15:00 to 17:00) but it was a good couple of hours! Oh, and I'm not too up on older types so if I have the names wrong - sorry!

All pictures Canon 40D + 300/2.8 + 1.4x tc

#1 North American AT-6D Harvard T.2 - sounded great!

#2 Gloster Gladiator

I really wanted to convince myself that the 300/2.8 + 1.4x TC was going to be as sharp as my favoured airshow lens the 400/5.6 - it is, and then some!

Thanks for looking and all C&C welcome as normal
Cheers Simon

You can't beat a good Canon shot

Glorious set of shots. Airborne Miles Falcon and dusty Hurri take off completely steal it, for me, but they're all great!

Superb taster for the season ahead.
