Back up the hills at last.

Post by nigelblake »

At long last I managed to get down to the Loop, and the weather and aircraft followed me too! ....... and not a Barn Owl in sight!!!!!
Cad west on Monday and various spots at the Bwlch on Tuesday. All shot with Canon EOS1DsMkIII and 600mmf4IS

Hi Nigel,
A pleasure to look at these thank's for posting

Do you use a gimble head to support a lens of that size? if so what make do you use?
Thank's Mike.

Very many thanks indeed to all for the above comments!.... Oh Neil, I was gutted for you mate!

The Hercules and Harrier at Cad west were taken using a Gitzo Gt3541ls tripod and Wimberley gimbal head, all the others were hand-held, IS mode 2, CFn III-2 medium-slow; CFn III-4 continuous AF track priority; CFn III-8 centre point expanded.

The Herc, Harrier and especially that last F-15 are the stand-outs for me, but they are all excellent. I'm going to have to visit there soon! Thanks for sharing these Nigel.
