Beautiful Damien. Just beautiful. More than a little sad to see the Nimrod go but as has been pointed out already, the wholesale butchery of the RAF and the rest of HM Forces under this lot beggars belief. Oh and ask them to fight 2 wars as well.

As an aside, what is the intention with 226? Do I detect a certain willingness to keep it in airworthy trim, you know just in case and for when the "other" project is retired maybe?? Maybe time for a new Nimrod shaped smilie

It will be interesting to see Canopus and a Nimrod MR2 side by side through, despite the unbelievable short sightedness of retiring the MR2 before MR4 is on line. I wonder if theyll get an MR4 in 20 years time?

Anyone who it will be sweetness and light after next week if the Tories win is sadly disillusioned. The Nimrod was a very old aeroplane and needed large sums of money to bring it to any sort of standard, the aircraft should have been retired years ago and only through MOD/RAF/BAE Systems uselessness is it still in service in 2010.
