So where's the f-16 operating from? does that also mean the harriers will be operating out of cosford?

Jumbo, are the Sunday timings you list timings for the aircraft departing/arriving at Shawbury or displaying on the day at Cosford?

Typhoons are due to practice I think. Maybe the Dutch? I think the Harrier, Tornado's and Belgium Sea King will be practising on Friday.

Very odd, I'm sure BHX will charge them more than RAF Shawbury. That said, would love to see another fast jet at the airport, last one I remember seeing was a Luftwaffe Tornado pre-1988.

I think Shawbury RW is probably too short for F-16 operations without a cable.

Wont cosford cover the parking meter? Does anyone have a rough guestimate of when they'll be arriving at BHX?

I believe Shawbury was one of the dispersal airfields for the V-Bomber force. Plenty long enough

Thanks. Friday looks busy!

Do you know when the GR4's are due in for practice on the Friday? Thinking of stopping by in the afternoon after lecture.

SY's a 6000 footer -as you say plenty long enough but the Dutch have very strict OR's with regard to using emergency gear. Surely the barrier net would be sufficient for ease of operations?

From what I've pieced together and from what happened last year I can predict that...

Beglium Sea King, RN Lynx and RAF King Air should be in on Frifay and will probably practice their demos. The statics are due in - including the French CN235. One of the aircraft should be taking the UBAS students up for some trips, plus the Tornado GR4's are due to practice.

RAF Tucano, Tutor and Harrier are due in on Saturday afternoon, as well as the BBMF and other civilian aircraft. The Typhoon will probally practice on Saturday and I think the Dutch F-16 will as well (could be Friday though).

Unfortunately the Barrier at Shawbury is only cleared for Hawks and single-seat Harriers

All,

I left work today (for the week) and forgot to e-mail the latest movements list home so I could post on here.

Hopefully my oppo will see my pleading e-mail (sent to work just now) - and send it to me so I can post on here tomorrow night.

Hi guys.

Very intersting thread. Wish i was free to see some practices in case I cant make the actual show.

Do we get to see a full timetable of the actual show in advance on here ?
Am I right in assuming if the times posted by shawbury higher up in this thread are correct, then the typhoon will be on around mid-day ?
