Duxford 4th July- Busy afternoon.

Post by Arno 01 »

We took the short trip to Duxford today, about 20 mins by car.Duxford as you all know,is a very hard place to shoot, as the sun is mostly directly in front of you, moves round later in the day. We arrived just after midday and had a quiet couple of hours. Then it got rather busy, 4 Spitfires ( 1 getting rather close  ) and the Buchon returning from Waddington airshow,2x P-51 returning from Waddington also, Sally B going to and from Shuttleworth show, 6 AAC Apaches passed through on the way to Sailsbury Plain( Have put them here, to save opening another thread) and the best till last, Mark went out in the F-86, to Shuttleworth, and on his return carried out a display at Duxford :yahoo: :yahoo:

Thanks to the refueller man for the heads up on times of arrivals
Camo twin Spit and last Apache were taken by Jan (JST).

Thanks for the comments, it was a choice between here and Shuttleworth, and the weather looked slightly better at Duxford, still had some rolling cloud, making the sun hide.I know the Spits etc would be coming back from Waddo and also that Sally b and the F-86 needed to go to Shuttleworth. Shame it didn't stay like the morning over at Shuttleworth, as it was clear blue skies

The Mustang won't do what a Spitfire does, but it does it over Berlin.
