Have afeeling that 2 will stay at LN to carry on with whatever they are over here on deployment to do, no point having a week that they are deployed here with 3 raptors sitting around doing nothing

There have only been 2 booked in to Fairford this week. They departed Lakenheath at around 0800L and arrived approx 0840L - their arrivals slot was tagged as 0914Z (1014L) for the guys working the aircraft parking, so the arrivals schedule is already out.

One of the reds just had an emergency. Main gear did not deploy in the circuit, nose wheel only. Went around with a buddy and has managed to get it down. just landed with fire tenders etc safely and is now taxiing in under fire tender escort.

A little bit of excitement!

I thought there was going to be some UKAR twit action for arrivals?

Only reason I ask is that it's nice knowing what's going on even I am stuck in the office:)

Raptor just sat on the runway for over 20min during sunshine, then took off as a storm hit and aborted its display! why do the ground show without any commentary? just annoyed a lot of paying public!

Grr

Surely a full practice is exactly that, a full practice... You wouldn't rehearse a play or concert only at the exciting bits, you'd need to do all to make sure it hasn't got any problems and can organise any timings etc and firm everything up...

I can't imagine they'll be allowed to sit on the runway for 20 mins during the actual display. At least I bloody well hope not!

Didnt the thuinderbirds do their ground show off to the runway so the flying display continued and if you wanted to watch you could ? Or did I dream that?

Will the Raptor be rescheduled for later today or tomorrow? Hoping tomorrow as Im there by then :)

Raptor wanted to wait for the storm to pass before taking off for his display, but the tower forced him to go. I can see what he was waiting for now - I.e. Beautiful sunshine! Grrrr! Due to go later I believe.

It will appear on that page if anyone uses it, but at the moment the only guys there who are "tweeting" all have their own accounts to do it from.

Would be nice.

Starting to think that RIAT has deliberately held back some info regarding participants, to create a few surprises for us this week (good thing, too, as I'm enjoying these late additions!). Possible M2000 flypast, ItAF AMX and MB-339, US Navy P-3, Gripen NG, Turkish 737 Wedgetail, French Puma and Gazelle, and I see Russ has included a C-40B on his twitter, too...

A lot of aircraft aren't listed for arrival on today's list, namely, MRA4, E3, Tornado F3, Civvy Hunters or the majority of the warbirds. I imagine these are in tomorrow. Mainly Hawk arrivals due this afternoon. Have been some large gaps. Certainly quieter than previous arrivals. Dutch F-16s arrived about 15 mins ago.
