Sounds better than yesterday already, which I felt was a bit disappointing.

Weather is gorgeous here at Fairford! Hardly any wind now. Highlight of my day was XE601 arriving, what a blue note! Coming second was the Spitfires, Hurricane and Buchon arrival. ARCo Spit T9 is currently high above. Also the Vacher Hurricane, NATO E-3, PTs Hurribomber are also in.

Other no shows that i have noted are the static USAF C-17, flying slovak L39, flying sukhoi superjet, static nimrod MRA4, static belgian alpha jet, omega 707, MC-130 for the flying. Not sure if the flyers are due to fly in over the weekend though.

Fantastic view from outside the wire, with the planes coming in to land over the top of you on Friday, first year I have done that, and will defo do it again.
Thanks to the bloke on here who lent me batteries when my scanner batteries ran out.
the rain could have held off a bit longer tho - I got soaked walking back to Kempsford camping.

When the Sea King SAR came in, the winch operator who had the door open gave us all a wave. Awfully nice of him.
I had to laugh when the police came along and asked us to make a path along the footpath. two mins after they had gone, the path had disappeared!
