Old CV-22 Drag Shots

Post by ShadowDriver »

I thought that I might contribute a couple of shots to a forum that I enjoy browsing on a regular basis.

* Updated with larger versions - Was trying to keep your bandwidth down... *

All photos taken by Stu Sisler (not me).

Thanks for keeping my photography bug going. It's been fun to see my friends and old "horses" in shots you've taken.

ok, so we have relatively uncommon aircraft, in a rarely caught setting, beautifully caught.

oh, and in a stunning setting that makes them superb shots in any context, rather than just great aircraft photos.

brilliant, thanks for sharing

What a terrific set. Great to see something so different and unusual. Were you flying in a KC-130?

cheers

Shot 3 would make an awsome canvas up in the living room! The last 2 are stonking - would love to see them bigger though...

Robin,

No, I'm in the Shadow on the right (in the KC-135 shot) and in the Shadow on the left (in the CV-22 / formation shot) and in the singleton Shadow w/ CV-22. Yep, I'm that lucky.

Once again, I can't claim credit for any of these - that goes to another pilot in the unit.

Cheers!

Hi Shadow, no wonder you guys are always airbourne when i get to work! with awesome sunsets like that. One question though, it was tough enough getting fuel onto the pav-lows, it looks dam right deadly getting fuel on board an osprey( lots of whirling blades very close to the drouge) is it? Oh by the way be kind to the driver who picks you up after the mission...It may be me..All the best mate, thanks for posting these stunning shots.
