Airbourne at Beachy Head
A few from Eastbourne at Beachy head, I was there Saturday and Sunday, Sunday was not as good as many of the aircraft avoided close passes, I believe this was because the police and chaplaincy were trying to talk a person out of jumping!

Because it was such a bland sky I turned this shot to mono and added a coloured filter!

First five shots, Catalina and banking Synchro Red are absolutely superb, Nigel. The F-16s look a bit soft on my screen, but that's not to take away from the capture: the aircraft looks great over the water nonetheless!

Many thanks to all for the comment, re the F16's, yes I am just about to replace them again, since the changes at Flickr I'm not 100% happy with the way images look once uploaded and especially when linked to other sites (such as UKAR), I suspect they are using different resizing algorithms!

Re: Airbourne at Beachy Head
Lovely set. The first five, minus the P51, remind of the BoB so much.

The Mustang won't do what a Spitfire does, but it does it over Berlin.

I really like the second Red Arrows shot, great capture.

F16 shots re-uploaded!
Apparently the lady who was threatening to jump off Beachy head on Sunday had killed her husband with a hammer earlier on!!

Re: Airbourne at Beachy Head
I like the Catalina with the yacht, sadly others look like a typical day at Beachy Head occasional aircraft that fly to distantly.

Thanks for the comment;
I used a 600mm f4IS with/without a 1.4X and a Canon EOS1DsMkIII on a Wimberley head and Gitzo tripod.

Re: Airbourne at Beachy Head
Cracking stuff as ever. Such a great spot up there - well worth the climb back up the hill afterwards!
Re: Airbourne at Beachy Head
Love the B&W Spit shot.
