Re: "Lest We Forget" - the BBMF in camera
My first post...
I've admired many of the photos on here for some months now and enjoyed the informative (and occasionally entertaining) threads, and hope this is an appropriate place to make a fiirst contribution.
The first two images of the BBMF were taken with a "point & shoot" at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas (http://www.thenma.org.uk/index.aspx). Autumn is a great time to visit, with Armistice Day and other commemorations taking place. The trees, now starting to mature, are also at their colourful best.
There are usually a handful of flypasts there each year, depending on the events taking place. With no "crowd line" as such, the flypasts sometimes pass straight overhead...
Dakota passed right overhead, soon to be followed by its friends...
This last one was taken from our back garden, just a couple of miles down the road from the NMA...
