Australian Defence Force Airshow (Updated with extra pics)

Post by RichardE »

Hello from Australia, this is my first ever post here so I hope everything works & there is something to interest people. These are of the annual Australian Defence Force Airshow held over the weekend. This was the last planned public airshow appearance of the F-111 which is being retired in December after 37 years of service. The only overseas participation was a USAF KC-135 from McConnell AFB on static display.

Thanks for looking

Thanks for the comments everyone, have been hesitant to post pics due to the amazing quality of images that appear on here. Yes timuss is a Meteor, ex UK resident now owned by the Temora Aviation Museum. Here are a few more, have added some extra F-111 shots for everyone.

Always great to see the Vark in action - especially when being thrown around like that! Thanks for sharing.

Who needs foreign participation when you've got that kind of quality locally - although I guess it's all boring stuff to you guys

Great selection

Fantastic shots of the pig. I wish I could have been there to see the pig fly one last time. I am still remembering the sterling display they gave at IAT93. If it only wasn´t that much of a hassle to get down there.....

Thats a cracker of a first post. Love the F-111, I'll miss the old girl. I see the old Meteor is still going strong out there. Welcome aboard.
