EHGR @ The Golden Hour; 22-09-2010
Hi all,
I passed Gilze tonight because I went to my parents in Rijen.
When I drove back home I saw a Chinook in the circuit. I was
lucky that I had my camera with me and I stopped for a few
quick pictures during the golden hour. I hope you like my
pictures:
ISO200, 360mm, f5.6, 1/800sec
ISO200, 400mm, f5.6, 1/500sec
ISO200, 400mm, f5.6, 1/400sec

They are nice, but a slower shutter speed (1/125 or even 1/80th) to get some rotor blur would have made these really special!

Nige I beg to differ. Sometimes I believe you can get away with the faster shutter speed, the Chinook lends itself to this type of shot. Golden hour though? Nice images.

Thanks people for the positive comments
It was a choice to shoot these pictures with fast shutterspeeds, because I wanted to show the heat haze as sharp as possible.
Also the angle on the aircraft makes it unnecessary to lower the shutterspeeds. But thank you for the positive and constrctive
feedback on this photo
Here is another one:
Thanks for watching
