Some beauties there Neil. I thought that I'd read you'd gone down to the lights at the end of
23R/06L and had wondered about the heat haze at this time of year for that kind of shot, but you got
a couple of real beauties there. Really like the exhaust heat from the 23L departure too.
Cheers, Bob.

747 is brilliant, love the Runway reflections on the bottom of the fuselage.
Re: A380 + Others from Manchester
The last 3 are all absolute peaches.
I've been meaning to ask, whats the access like to the bottom (Knutsford end) of 23L? Wheres best to park? Are you likely to incur some farmers wrath etc?
On a similar note, whats the access like for the field with the approach lights at Heald Green end of 24R? Any right of way issues there?

Great reflections and moody cloudscape in the 747 shot - super!

Hi Neil
Some really nice shots there and would have to say that the China 747 and the close up of the A380 are my pick of the bunch

Very nice, Neil. Another vote for the 747 image. Lovely light on the undersides.

Numbers 3 & 4 are superb.
Not sure about the A380. They are good shots but I am just not convinced its a photogenic aircraft.
(see its possible to count without having the shots numbered, other forums take note)

I parked on one of the narrow lanes that were blocked off when the runway was built. ( 53°20'3.42"N 2°18'47.84"W) There is a footpath/bridleway all the way around from the north of 23L/05R.
I haven't tried Ostler's lane or Lady Lane yet.
