Beautiful shots of the old beast, :clap: as for the strange paint job Paul, it's because this RC is photo reccon and also photographs missle tracks, the black on the wings and engines cuts out sun reflections from those parts of the aircraft....So you see they are photographers just like us.

Lovely! I agree, that banking shot is a gem! As for the black wing, yes the previous explanation is true...for the older Cobra Ball airframes. With the newer systems in use, it's no longer necessary to paint the right wing and engines black...they do it purely for traditional reasons now. At least that's the way it was explained to me when I was with the 95th RS. :smile:
