Southport Airshow 2011

Post by chrisward123 »

Just thought I would start a new thread for the Southport Airshow which is alot earlier in the season this year 23+24th July.
The dates are shared with the Windermere airshow and only a week after RIAT, think this may turn out to be a good airshow!

I hope the date change benefits it given the weather has usually fouled up at least one day in two lately in september

why do people pay £9 to stand on the beach when you can watch it for free anywhere along the seafront?

Craig the whole of the sea front is barriered off, you can only get close to the front by paying to get in, its not just the beach.

No like stated before, Southport are very poor at adding participants until the last stages.
In Previous years the Vulcan was added weeks before the show.
I have a feeling she will display on the Saturday.......

Hi,

Southport will be my first seaside airshow ever. I'll be driving all the way from Germany just for this event :dizzy: and I've booked a B&B within walking distance from the shore. You're the experts, is this show something to get excited about? The best wife of all insisted on pier tickets for Saturday and I've bouth the regular tickets for Sunday. Monday we'll be leaving for Wales, I've never been to the Loop either. Any recommendations and tips? Thanks.

Lothar
