Thanks for the kind comments on my thursday arrivals.
Friday arrivals posted below with a few pics from the saturday Centennial Parade. Hope they are enjoyable and here's hoping for a good summer in UK.
Two A4 Skyhawks, a single seater and 2 seater. The planned A4 in the parade didn't appear because of a tech problem so the friday arrival was fortunate.
T45 Goshawk in a Centennial paint scheme
C12 in a Centennial paint scheme
2 F-18F Super Hornets from VX9 the Vampires with painted tails
Digicam F18 which was flying all day friday
2 Civilian owned jet warbirds, the sole flying FJ-4 Fury and a Rockwell T2 Buckeye
Two NASA jets, a F18 and a T38
A Navy F5 Tiger II
EF-18 Growler painted in Centennial colour scheme (thursday arrival but I love this a/c and paint scheme)
A few from the saturday
EA 6 Prowler leading 2 EA 18 Prowlers
E2 Hawkeye with paint job
One rarely sees the big jets in a flypast hence the rarity of an E6 mercury and a C9 Skytrain II
The latest AH-1 Zulu Super Cobra
4 ship, 2 AH-1W Super Cobras and 2 Iroquois
4 Navy F5 Tiger II's
A sad day when one has to go to USA to see the British designed harriers-4 ship AV8's
CH46 Sea Knight dropping a rescue swimmer
The downtown San Diego skyline with 4 ship helicopters inbound on the parade. Hope you enjoyed.

Oh lordy, it gets worse (better!) What an event this was. Nice to see the flybys bending round for top side "review" passes; why have the Yanks got this sorted so effortlessly??
Have you got any of the 2 USMC KC-130s as one looked as though it had a special painted fin??

You caaan't trust the system... Maaan!

The UH-1 and Cobra formations are pretty epic. Nice stuff all round though!

What a great set of arrival shots and so many topsides - your brief notes on identities also appreciated Pete - thanks for sharing

Wow.....quite simply blows most of what we have out of the water in one fell swoop. Fancy a Sea Vixen?
I would be happy just to see some blue sky.
I 'am off to sit outside the engine pen at Cottesmore, or is photograph Islanders at Waddo

Stunning set again. Agree about the 4 ship shot and that AH-1Z sure looks the business!
Re: Friday arrivals North Island USN Centennial
Superb! Must have been one hell of a show!
Re: Friday arrivals North Island USN Centennial
Amazing! I would have loved to have been there. Another lovely set of images.
Re: Friday arrivals North Island USN Centennial
This is all starting to make me feel a bit queasy, the more I see from here the more I regret not going. Another fine set Pete, the Hornet's look stunning as do the Marine helo's, we can only dream of seeing that sort of line up here. I think you've peaked early for 2011, the rest of the year's never going to match up to this.
Re: Friday arrivals North Island USN Centennial
Another very nice set there Pete. A shame the A-4 had a problem on Saturday, I managed to miss catching that one altogether. They also lost the SNB (Twin Beech) and Coastguard HU-25 (Falcon) from the flypasts due to tech issues.
