End Of An Era
End Of An Era
Wednesday 6th. April 2011
This is probably the last time Rob Davies will bring BBD into Headcorn before going to her new home in Germany.
I feel sure that all forum users would like to join me in thanking Rob for the superb flying displays he has performed on the air show circuit over many years.
A BIG thank you Rob.

FOTO4,
Great set of photos of BBD!!! The markings on this P-51 have always been my favorite over the years. It was great being able to see Rob display her over the past few years since I moved to the UK. Sure will miss seeing BBD at Duxford, Shoreham and the other shows that he would bring her to.
All the best Rob and a big THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! for the opportunity of seeing and photographing such a fine aircraft.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful images!!!

Definitely, one of my favourite 'Cadillac's of the sky' hope we see her again
Re: End Of An Era
Great photos as per usual, mate - and I can only echo the comments of thanks to Rob.
Re: End Of An Era
I was tempted to visit Headcorn, with the weather perfect, but elected to make cloches for the wife's allotment - what a bad choice!!! But I did hear the sound of a Packard V-1650 at around 13:50, and saw BBD in the distance, flying west towards Ashford. Oh well, back to the fruit and veg.

The Mustang won't do what a Spitfire does, but it does it over Berlin.
Re: End Of An Era
I have to echo all other comments...thank you to Rob Davies for bringing this beautiful machine to many events...she will be sorely missed by many but at the same time...she will still be enjoyed many more across in Europe.

Many fond memories of BBD in both Rob Davies hands as well as the late great Ray Hanna, She is a beauty and I hope she is loved as much at her new home as she is here.
Re: End Of An Era
Great Photos, Its sad to see it go to Germany
But to Rob thanks for your support at Little Gransden with BBD over the years, so we just have Maurice Hammond with his 2 now

Shame to see BBD head off to Germany, will they change the colour scheme due to all those swastikas (illegal on the continent).
