Many thanks to the chaps at Solway Aviation Society for a superb evening's nightshooting. Was good to meet Kieron and Timmy.

Just the one for now..

Hi Martin
Quality shot there well done  I couldn't make it for various reasons, did they light anything else besides the vulcan?

It took my breathe away, it is simply stunning one of the best Vulcan shots I have ever seen.

Thanks for sharing,  :joystick:

Thanks very much for the comments, Chaps.

Ian - Only the Vulcan was illuminated, but for me that was all that needed to be lit. I could have quite easily carried on shooting into the small hours.

Here's another shot from last night, 300 seconds at F8.0, ISO 100 if anyone's interested.

I'll certainly be there for the next nightshoot, even if it's just the Vulcan lit up again. Sunday night was possibly the best value nightshoot I've been to for quite some time, very enjoyable also.

'Fraid not, the light in the cockpit is actually a rather cunningly placed 1mil candle-light torch, rather than the Vulcan's interior lights. To my knowledge only the under-wing lights were on.

Cheers,
Martin

Many thanks for the comments, I've had a go at re-editing the first shot to try and remove the orange colour-cast that was on the original.

Does it look better or worse?

Cheers,
Martin

IMHO the first version was better - however, either way excellent work as always! :topbombing:

Same - sky is too bright in the new one, looks like a daytime cyan sky.

That said, the shot is a blinder.
