Austrian S-105, Romanian IAR 99 and Slovak MiG 29 all changed to dynamic display! :yahoo:

EDIT: So has a Jordanian F-16. One flying, one static?

In Turkish, it says 'Dynamic' but in English, it says 'Static.' I'd presume the former to be right, obviously.

Has everyone now registered for spotters days?

God knows how they will decide who is accepted and who isn't,or how long it will take to sift thru all the emails, has anyone had a confirmation back from the email address?

Nice website, but shame it doesn't show the Turkish participation.

Confirmations haven't been sent yet, and according to one of the Scramble admins, the limit of 1000 hasn't been reached yet either, something which doesn't entirely surprise me to be honest.

Ok thanks for that,it surprises me considering the clicks to that page are over 2,000,but I guess that doesn't mean that all those people have reg or multiple hits.

Well to be honest it doesnt surprise me either.

The whole thing (sorry Eric as i'm sure you have tried your best and you have a great pedigree) has been slow and tardy with regards to updates, website, and 'spotter package'.

For the latter its hardly that is it? 1000 tickets, turn up, your on your own in a 'special area', when outside the fence might be better. No transport to and from the field (on your own again there).

This 'package' took too long to get up and running. Coupled to the economy and the cost of flights from the UK alone (I can go to India for the same price or Sharja) then it's a non starter for me.

Shame as i would have liked to have gone, but the benefits of being a 'spotter' so loudly heralded early on, were too late coming for me to confirm with my 2 fellow travellers our hotel and flights. I know i could have taken a punt and just done it, but i felt that i'd hang on for details.

so the 3 of us are going to a land of exotic items for less money and will have better access for us included

Shame, as i'd have hoped for Fairford type packages (i'd have gladly paid for that Mach3 in Turkey), but ho hum, it was not to be.

So, i hope everyone who is going enjoys it and i look forward to seeing all your pics on here. Maybe with a bit more luck we can get (as spotters) a better deal for next year?

cheers

Have to agree with Dave,I was asking some weeks ago,it too long to get official info, and I thought there was going to be some form of "package",to simply send your details via an email,(page doesn't even work properly on the website)to an email address, seems very crude,it maybe easier to sit outside airfield to be honest,if this is allowed.

Aplogies to Eric,he obviously tried hard for us,but feel it has failed to deliver what was expected.

First and last probally event that they have organised like this to celebrate 100 Years and although its been slow i didnt expect RIAT style spotters packages!

Worth going for the Turk stuff alone .

May have to work for it over the 4 Days but i would expect everyone that goes will be happy by the end of the Monday...

Dave, AARDVARK,

Have you both ever been to an airshow before everybody had Internet??

In that time (let say before 1995) sometimes even wasn't known that there was an airshow at all. If it was known, many times the participants were unknown. In that time you had two options, buy a ticket or don't. Since there is Internet, many things changed like spotters that know particpants before this is reveiled by the show organisers.

What I want to say, is that we should be happy with the information given by Eric in the last couple of months and all the effort he has taken to arrange the best for all of us. Ok, compared to western Europe/USA airshows, not much info was (is?) given, but as explained by Eric before, organising an Airshow is not done every year in Turkey, so patience is needed.

Personally I am happy that it looks like high expectations come true, this is one of the airshows that is almost not affected by Mr. K from L. and in case it is affected, there are many participants announced that we will never see in this part of Europe!!!!

I't's a bit silly to blame the show organisers and Eric for things they do not know/are not responsible for and giving that as reason for not attending.

Regards
Dennis Peteri

When they would only put the TuAF-stuff in the air, even than it would be a fantastic event! We will be there! :yahoo:
Like others here said, many exotic participants that we won't be able to see in Europe (ever). If everything works out as promised, this will be the best airshow in years!
