New colours for the Apache

Post by antoine »

Hello UKARians,

Today, the Dutch Apache Demoteam flew their first demo above homebase Gilze-Rijen, presenting this year's brand new colour-scheme.
It's way better than last year's scheme, but in my humble opinion it proves to be hard to make an Apache pretty.
Nevertheless, despite a very low budget, the R.Neth.A.F. has done a beautiful job.

And this year, they will visit the U.K. as well, so you can also enjoy their show !

Greetings,
Antoine

I really like shot #4. I wasn't especially impressed by the first pictures I saw of the demo scheme (under dull grey skies), but with a bit of light on it, it does look mighty good!

Great shots ! What a shame we won't see the same dramatic display when it's at RIAT .

Very nice set, hopefully it will use flares when it displays at Yeovilton.

Great colour scheme, although wouldn't it have been great if it were in retro "Grasshoppers" scheme given RIAT's birthday year!

So much better than last years' scheme, but as others have said, it is a shame we won't see these dramatic manouvres at RIAT.

Great photos terrible colour scheme just like last year - its almost like they are trying to send a subliminal message of "this aircraft is mostly harmless and child friendly" rather than this is a potent helicopter painted in air force green - which looks far better and more attractive to me

Good grief, not used to seeing a Apache dressed up like that. Now where's 16 Air Assault Brigade's email address...
