If it's a peaceful protest it's no problem and good on them for standing up for what they believe in.

Peaceful or not there is no need for it, it will clog up a crowded place even more, wonder if these were the people behind the graffiti a few years back. Lets go protest at their hobby.

I have been reading about this chap for a while. I can't make out if he is anti war, anti plane or what. I feel he is here to moan about anything. The bike ride is a sponsored one for the victims of these DU bullets. Why he has it in for RIAT and not any other airshow I do not know. There is history between him and RIAT. Personally I feel the moderators should lock this page and not let anyone else waste their time discussing someone who is out to ruin the enjoyment of thousands of people, and try to put people (RIAT staff) out of a job. Rant over. See you all in a few weeks

I should think people who suggest murdering protestors is a good idea are more of a worry than said protestors.

Thats worrying, I was thinking of parking 5 miles away in a hedge somewhere and cycling to Totterdown or another naughty field with the Mrs and sisters family. Wouldnt want to be caught in that protest!

If pollution is his biggest concern, why clog up the roads - slowing traffic and thus forcing thousands of cars to use more fuel than necessary to complete their journey?

Idiot.

I wasn't seriously suggesting that fully armed A-10's are actually used on protestors

I don't seriously think a cycling protest will make the slightest bit of difference to the traffic. How can they make miles and miles of stationary traffic worse?
They can have their protest but I'm sure it won't stop the enjoyment of the Alexandra Burke Show.

Considering the fact that Fairford is used, really, for one week out of the 52 weeks in a year, I hardly think that the pollution caused during RIAT is going to cause the whole of Goucestershire to become a health hazard for the next millenium.

Are we sure that this isn't infact a front for the "Women's Peace Camp at Greenham Common Memorial Bicylce Team"

As long as they don't pinch my recipe for Lentil Stew while camping at Kempsford then I am happy

Theres me thinking this was a spin off from the participation/value for money thread! I was well up for the idea aswell!

As already mentioned its a free country, everyone has the right to there opinion and to peacefully demonstrate it. I just hope for this pillocks sake he dosen't choose to demonstrate at rhymes farm gloucestershire between 14th-17th july........ :topbombing: :heyhey:
