These are great, looking forward to seeing a Tracker at the next RAF Northolt Nightshoot.

Hi Voodoo

Great shots of my favourite subject matters, fire-bombers! I've always admired your work, I'm sure I've seen it on other (French?) sites.

I'm in Provence this week (near Brignoles), and next week (near Vaison la Romains).

Where is the best place to see the Securite Civile aircraft? I went to Marignane several years ago and found the opportunities to see and photograph the aircraft very limited.

I sent an email to the Securite Civile at Marignane but got no reply. not sure it was the correct address though. Is the Beriev still around?

Also, is Orange worth a visit in August? What are the viewing opportunities like there?

Many thanks

Brian

Hi BriLlo

The south of the Marignane airport is the best place to take pictures of Sécurité Civile a/c on taxiway and landing but only the days with north (Mistral) or west wind.
1 or 2 places for the morning
3 place for afternoon

Image
You will be unlucky because the Bereiev Be 200 was coming back to Russia on 1st of august.

For Orange, I don't know exactly if a/c are flying in august. Some have said the base wil be closed, some said no. Vaison la Romaine being not too far from Orange, the best for you will be to see on place.
Excuse me for my bad english.
Good luck

Merci bien, Voodoo votre Anglais est pas mal!
Many thanks, that's very helpful.
Is it possible to park at point 1? It looks like a busy road and the parking space looks like it's blocked by rocks?
I assume that you can drive up the track to point 2, I can see a car parked there already?
Cheers

HI,
Votre français est pas mal non plus. ;0)
You can park your car at all points :
Point 1, the upper point of all, on the side of the road.
Point 2 and 3, at the end of the small road. Note that point 2 is not exactly like on the map. You will must stop where I marked "2".
