Lancaster is elsewhere, listed at several events on the South Coast for next weekend.

Yes, seems a bit unfortunate that the RAF's Battle of Britain memorial flight is unable to provide the star attraction to the only RAF Battle of Britain memorial airshow, but hey ho, nothing should surprise us these days.

The only thing likely to happen in the last week is cancellations. I just don't get it, we are part of NATO and the EU yet we can't seem to secure any participants from fellow members, and I don't believe in all that budgetary constraints tosh either. IMO it all comes down to the attitudes of the organisers and their personnel idea/goals of the airshow. At the end of the day it will no doubt be a record crowd at the gate with all the "will it, won't it be the last show" hype that's surrounding this years event so the organiser will class it as a great result regardless of what a/c are on the ground, unfortunately from my point of view it's nothing but a dump squib

But to answer your question Ryland take your pick from this list

Polish MIG29/SU22
Italian Typhoon/Tornado/AMX/AV8
French Mirage F1/2000/Rafale/Etendard
Spanish Typhoon/F18/AV8
USAF A10/F16
German Phantom/Tornado/Typhoon
Swedish Gripen
Any F16's

and anything Greek, Turkish or UAE

There's always next year or the 1st Lossiemouth International Air Extravaganza :cuppa:

I know with World events that the RAF is busy with operational commitments, but it still surprises me that there is no RAF Heavies at all due to put in an appearance.

Is it really that bad that RAF Leuchars Battle of Britain Airshow will not see an RAF C17, C130, Tristar, VC10 or AWACs on the ground come Saturday?

If it's at all possible how about a selection of Foreign Typhoons a little like the selection of RAF Tornado F.3s from Years back, with based 6 Sqn Aircraft mixed in to represent Britain.

The Danish have just taken over the Baltic Air Policing mission in Lithuania could explain there absence. They even sent the special tail F-16 on the mission   Lithuanian MOD

I know it's an RAF show but I'm a little surprised not to see the Black Cats on the list this year. With no 'rotor displays' at all, couldn't we spare a Search & Rescue to do a little something?
