That's EXACTLY where I saw it! Clearly there are no cameras to enforce the rule though.

Don't get me started on the 50mph Average Speed Limit area...thousands and thousands of cars all doing the same speed, sat in each others blind spots

I've never understood those drivers that speed up between cameras and then slow when reaching them... Are they thick? Do they not know the meaning of the phrase?
And I have noticed that most if not all lorries actually drive above the 50mph and are in the faster lane overtaking through the 50 ave speed zone...

But yes, traditionally BMW drivers and more recently an increasing number of Audi drivers are getting themselves a bad name... But there is really no limit to the brands anymore... Chavs in cars where the plastic body shells are double the price of the car with no increased performance; the businessmen (always men) in the Vectras and Jags weaving in/out every lane to under and overtake on the motorways. Too many idiots to mention!!

This is not intended to be sexist but as a generalisation I would say that fast and agressive is usually down to men and slow, dithering, and parking badly is usually old folk or women.

And yes (generally men in) BMW and Audi drivers are the worst closely followed by (ladies in) 4x4's.

Actually, this is about arrogant drivers rather than bad drivers, so I would put 95% down to male BMW and Audi drivers.

Isn't this why women get cheaper car insurance than us chaps?

I have read this thread with interest as, until a couple of years ago, I though the same, BMW, Audi drivers etc......
However after owning a couple of fairly dull cars I did some sums and, to cut a long story short, I bought a 2007 BMW 525d.
What I see now is the other side; drivers who don't let you out, who close the gap, cut you up and generally think it's hilarious to tailgate. The chief culprits are lareg 4x4s (Range Rover/Cayenne/Q7s), Vectras and white vans.

Well, mostly it doesn't particularly bother me (apart from the tailgating which I detest) I know I've got one of the best driving saloons around; 7.4 secs to 60mph, 50mpg (not at the same time though) and band G emissions - what's not to like?

I'll live with the "stigma"

Not arrogant, but tractor drivers on 'A' roads in Lincolnshire during rush hour...Often there will be a queue of 20 other vehicles stuck behind a tractor. I appreciate that tractors have a right to use the road, but often that right seems to be exercised at other people expense.

Do they still though? I thought the European Court of Just Bullsh... err "Justice"... had stepped in and decreed that giving women cheaper insurance was sexual discrimination. Personally, I fail to undertand how it can be discrimination, if the cold hard facts/statistics prove that women are truly lower insurance risks than men on average?

Sounds like the same kind of tosh that comes out the European Court of Human Bullsh... err "Rights"... which as far as I can tell, exists solely to put the "rights" of an individual scumbag, above the rights of tens/hundreds/thousands of decent people (victims). Scumbags can then carry on whatever antisocial behaviour they like, and the rest of society just has to suck it up.

BAH!

Taxi drivers. Without a shadow of a doubt. Impervious to any Highway Code restriction on their right to drive in any way they fancy. Can ignore traffic lights, speed limits, or common sense with impunity. Have no compulsion about taking you the route they fancy rather than the quickest, and then expect a tip.

People carriers, THE worst. Gaps that aren't there, blind overtakes, etc. Why? Surely the twit driving the Zafira with 2.4 kids in the back should be the most cautious of all??

So your another :clown: that thinks the quickest route is always the cheapest, :lmao:
I just love people like you that insist that I go the quickest way.

A rather abusive response to a simple point that a meter was not mentioned in the post. Still, whatever gets you through the day eh?

Maybe we don't understand how taxi meter works, I guess it must be very complex, but it doesn't alter the point that taxi drivers are some of the most useless drivers around. You'd think if you did something a lot or even for a living, you'd get quite good at it. Taxi drivers are living proof that this is clearly not always the case.

I was told that I was parked in a Taxi rank at East Croydon last week by a cabby - I clearly was not as there was a large sign saying "no waiting" - even though there were 5 cabs loitering there.

My offering

Those motorists who bimble along trunk roads or motorways at a "fuel efficient" forty to fifty miles an hour oblivious of the queue of cars and lorries queued behind them waiting to overtake.
