Maintenance

Post by PorkScratching »

I will be carrying out some maintenance on the board tonight which may cause the occasional outage. Apologies in advance if it does. The end result will be that those of you using IE9 (ugh!) will be able to see all the images posted in the photo threads.

All done, apologies for the short outages. You IE9 users should be able to see all photos etc now.

Sadly, the work system still won't let me see photos from flickr of photobucket, if you could cure that I would be a very happy bunny.

I'm pretty sure that's down to your security settings at work, rather than anything we can do unfortunately.

Too true. Can't have staff looking at pretty pictures when they should be working.

I don't know where you work but for the MoD, there were too many people using fleabay during working hours so a block was put on that site which also affected flicker and Photobucket because I believe they are all part of the same Paypal empire.

Flickr is owned by Yahoo, and Photobucket by Fox Media; so those two are part of separate empires, and eBay is an empire itself. I guess your sysadmins decided to block all three due to perceived time wasting!

Yes, it is the work system. Kind of annoying because I used to be able to get at my photobucket account. Do a bulk upload and then spend the day at work sorting the photos.

It's kind of odd that I can some photos from flickr on here and not others, must be the way the links are posted I guess.

Giving me a pc instead of the old workstation was probably not one of their better moves. I get sidetracked far too easily.
