Certainly an interesting selection, in my opinion 2 items missing firstly the USAF Thunderbirds sole UK appearance this year, secondly the three 109's at Flying Legends i would of thought deserved a shout too. Finally the No1 selection, while a great restoration of a classic type and worthy of a top 10 spot, No1 i personally don't think so, for what it's worth i would of given it to the Duxford F-15E Demo.

I'm sure everyone has their favourites beyond those mentioned, depending on shows visited and tastes, this being the team's choice. It's good to see the comments of others

I certainly agree with you if they were three 'real' 109s Chris, but not Buchons masquerading as 109s.

Buchons or not, the fact that the only 3 airworthy ones on the planet were flying together is surely worth a mention?

That seems a pretty fair selection and one could nit pick over one or two items and the order, but overall I would agree....

Agree with Dan on the faux-109s. They ain't Messerschmitts. True the BoB scheme is historically accurate in that it wore that in the movie, but the others could/should be in authentic liveries appropriate to Hispano Buchons, for that is what they are...

Why does the livery matter that much, accepting that they are not MEs? Warbirds are always painted in various liveries, which are often changed, for a variety of reasons sometimes unconnected with the particular aircraft.

I'm not sure whether this is the appropriate topic, but could I just give a brief honorary mention to Juliette Fleming and her performances with the Hawk T1 last year.

Jules flew a consistently impressive routine, through some tough conditions at times, and who - in my opinion - showed off the aircraft perfectly. Well done, Jules.
