In my late teens in the late 80s I started to take in a couple of European airshows each year .Mainly France ,Belgium etc . For a change I thought I'd have a go at Sweden and with the chance of getting some shots of Draken's in the sun (hopefully) at their home base , I just had to go !
Was it worth the trip ? Oh yes ,more SAABs than I could ever have hoped for, topped off with a stream departure and flypast of 24 J35s ! what more could you ask for ?
Maybe a Finnish or an Austrian chucked in for good measure ,or every variant of the J37 ....it had all that too.
These are all scanned from negatives ,sorry there are so many , there were 270 to pick from ,hope these are of interest.
Cheers, Mark
Some of SAABs finest..........................................................

24 Draken in flight
Re: Drakens & Viggens @ Angelholm Aug 95
Wow, excellent.
Like the 105 with the extended nose.
24 J35 in formation must have been some sight and sound..

Thanks for the comments guys , yep 24 Drakens sounded pretty impressive , a nd looked even better !
Hi Mark , yeah it's been a while , I seem to take loads of pics and don't get the time to do anything with them, still trawling through last years trips .
Im trying to scan all my old negatives , should take me another five years or so.............
I do have some done , from Cameri and Emmen in 1988 and Cambrai and Colmar in 89 plus a few others.
I'll see what I can do over the weekend
