RAF F&F days 2012! (Not open to the public)

Well as we enter the New Year its time to start this years thread for the RAF Families days. This is the 4th year in making the thread between the Fighter Control and UKAR forums and over the past year i have created a successful website to help provide information to everyone. All this is not possible without the help of great people like yourselves who contribute massively by providing me with plenty of information. Even thought the Olympics will take effect on families days this season I am hoping this year will be another success.

Please note that the thread will give you dates and regular updates from me and other forum users, but for full details please visit the webiste.

2012 SEASON HAS ENDED

The above events are not open to the public and are strictly private events, all information provided is so anyone in the local community of an RAF station holding an event or anyone who has interest in aviation knows that their is an event taking place. RAF police has a right to move any observers that seem to pose a threat towards security and saftey of the station itself, but are normaly welcoming towards the public. . Finaly i am not responsible for any participants not turning up to an event or extra participants arriving that are not listed, also for any event cancellations.

RAF Coningsby Families Day - 16th June 2012

Just looked at the new BBMF schedule and it shows the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane all displaying on this date and it is also the same week they had the last families day, so i am 99% certain it will be on the 16th June. Im sure someone will confirm or correct me if im wrong.

Since Wittering is now my local airfield i sent a E-mail to the guy who run last years event and the reply basicly replied stated that he has not volunteered to run the event for 2012, but he thinks that plans had been proposed to hold a families day this year, but we will have to wait and see.


So at the moment thats all i've got unfortunately mate
