Party in the snow – 20 years of Lakenheath F-15E's - Updated

Some images from last Fridays press day at RAF Lakenheath.

Feb 21st 2012 marks the day when 90-0248 – the first Strike Eagle to arrive and in turn marks 20 years ago since the first ‘E’ model Strike Eagle made Lakenheath it’s home, coincidently last Friday (10th Feb) marked the final F-15E mission of Lt.Col. Clinton Mixon who flew 91-332 as part of the commemorative event flypast, Lt.Col. Mixon was the outgoing 492nd FS Squadron Commander and Lt.Col. John Orchard will now become the 492nd new Commander.

Still a few more to work through but these are some initial images from the day.

Got to agree with everyone, the best set I have seen in the snowy weather we had, and you used your fortune of getting on base to full effect, absolutley brilliant mate :rock:

Fantastic set mate, outstanding quality throughout and the PP work is spot on. Shots 13 & 19 really stand out for me though :rock:
