Clacton 2012 will be held on Thursday 23rd & Friday 24th August

"ONE of the world’s top aerobatics teams has pledged to perform for free at Clacton Air Show next year – if people dig deep for charity.

The Blades, who are all former Red Arrows pilots, will take to the skies over the town if 20 people can each raise £2,000 for the RAF Association’s Wings Appeal."

Hmm.. reading the Clacton gazette and it states that -

"The team is working hard to pull together a spectacular programme both in the air and on the ground, and we hope to have a few new additions to announce over the coming weeks, (now read this bit) including an unexpected surprise for flight enthusiasts"

This gets me thinking what could it possibly be on presumably a tight budget?

If they get a couple aircraft from Hanger 11 and a few from Duxford, i think it would be one of the best if not the best line up for many years
Maybe equalling Southend and possibly Lowestoft this year

The latest to add its name to the list is the RAF’s own Search and Rescue Force (SARF) – with three more flights likely to be announced in the coming weeks.

Hmm... wonder if that 3 that they havent said but we already seen or 3 that are not on any list yet

Well 2 of the 3 left to be announced were king air and tutor with 1 left to be said but that might have been the solo wingwalker

but all 3 were in the paper and it still said "the organisers still hope to confirm 1 more plane in the coming days"

Friday: Flying starts at 1:00pm with the Red Arrows.

Merlin Flypast seems to have gone unsurprisingly and Im not sure if they've said about the BBMF

OK thanks for the info, is there liikely to be anything else ( not that the Vulcan isn't enough!)? It means 2 trips now, so some serious persuasion to the wife is needed!
