Flying Legends 2012

I agree they are OTT! I have no problems on a Legends-Farnborough clash. RIAT on the other hand, it'll be a bugger as I am planning a good 4-5 days at RIAT next year. Travel would be a nightmare as well if they clashed as I'd do both shows! :surrender: :joystick:

RIAT- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Drive to Cambs Friday evening, Legends- Saturday and Sunday. :snack:

I don't know whether I can be arsed doing that considering RIAT week, for me, is to be an alcohol aimed week (well if we're going to get FlyBe ERJ-195s, you need something to compensate for that) but I'd certainly consider going to both shows if they had strong line ups!

Still wouldn't like it Kieran to be honest. Alcohol fuelled week as you said at RIAT. Think of your petrol money as well!

That's not a problem. It'd just mean my passengers would have to pay some petrol money... :handbag:

In all seriousness, money isn't an option if, as I say, the lineups for each turned out strong!

Git! :tongue2:  Only joking Of course I'd give you petrol money! But the clash would still annoy me! The cash I'd need! Jeez! Job hunting continues!

I can ensure you that neither a beaufighter or Mossie will fly at legends. However me might get a few new or old aircraft thier instead. Well have to wait and see.

Not really quiet, more focussed on near at hand events, possibly more can be discovered by attending the FofTFC event on March 11th?

8674 planes, with your TFC avatar it sounds like you must have some inside knowledge are you connected?

same for me i have to be at work to  inconsiderate of the TFC to organise this whilst im working as it would be my first time! however im sure there will be people who will report back, hazarding a guess it could be the corsair flying again seeing as its had engine run tests but that's only a guess.

I thought the P40 flew last year seen on another forum that its going through its permit to fly registration?. I would certainly be interested in the type of things that obviously need to be inspected ?

I have a question that's nothing to do with Legends but hopefully its ok here and that's the Hardwick Warbirds open event. I would like to get tickets for the hanger Dance but have had no luck with their email reply’s anyone know where i can contact them please

Bring on Legends i cant wait specially as im doing all three days this year .

Yes I imagine that both the Corsair and Gladiator will fly this year as well as Snafu.

The p-40F is undergoing the same work that all the other grounded TFC aircraft went through. It only flew last year because it had the Australian reg. The aircraft need the work and inspections done to ensure that they have the paperwork and are safe to fly (i think).

So if it all goes well for TFC hopefully the Wildcat and Hellcat will fly again next year but I don't know.

Perhaps , if you joined FofTFC you may get information reflecting your avatar. and interest I understand they will be increasing exclusive information and news to FofTFC supporters in the build up to Legends 2012, sounds like the way to go :)

"inconsiderate of the TFC to organise this whilst im working" You can blame the flying restrictions and the bl***dy Olympics for that, not TFC!!

I'm, looking forward to the regular TFC updates as the great weekend draws ever closer!!

don't think Wado will be to much trouble but the Shuttleworth event will pull a few away for sure.
Hopefully SNAFU will be in the air  possible a return from the Red Bull team with a few more types but who knows

I can't get to Waddo but could go to Shuttleworth or Duxford but will definitely be at Duxford!! In fact even with the choice of all three I would still chose Legends.
