well firstly thanks to everyone whos helped me collect bits and info

special thanks goes to Ian at Adastra Masks for making the masks and decals for me

this is the first of 2 special tornado builds that im planning the next being a F3

any way this is what shes ment to look like in the end

3 kits just in case 2x italeri and 1 x airfix

aftermarket stuff

airwaves gr4 conversion
loads of resin
paragon wings aries seats
eduard F3 etch (for the undercart and airbreaks)
CLBS
loads

and finally the masks for Adastra, now i have never ever used these so this is a learning curve

well i just need to clear the bench of the hunter and tomcat then this will begin

Excellent start with the flaps and slats.. I'm interested to see how your masks work. I love these detailed Tornado's.

thanks guys

well last night i added the leading edges and filled the gaps, a bit more sanding needs to be done but they fit

and yes i have broken a ?bracket

No worries. Best of luck getting them off. Might be best to cut them off and remake the arms to the flap.

Also remember to make the wing pivot point larger by 2mm at the rear which will enable to you push the wing forward further as the original italeri kit's wing is too far back and has a gap at the front of the wing glove...

lol 2 days work down the pan, oh well, they are off i have a tube of debonder and they have come off fairly easy will only a little damage nothing much

well after the failure on the wing i have spent the afternoon re building it and it looks ok not perfect but im fairly happy

so while bits were drying i started the tub

well ive been up all night throwing up hence im not at work, so while im felling ok

ive done a little of the tub, the side rails are from a f3 etch set, i cant find them on a gr4 piccy but im 90% sure they are there

bit more touching up to do and re painting of the black bits
next up, is the APU exhaust, and airbreak bays

ok burner cans in, i thought they would be a straight fit, but no you have to extend the hole to get them in

ok nose paint on and i think ive got the colour about right

and silver on, ive tried a few paints and i think chrome mixed with airframe aluminium is about right
