Some more SPTA

Absolutely stunning....I am jealous of your ability to get such sharp pictures Jonathan!!! Seriously, these pics are superb!
What exactly do you mean Officer when you say no photography allowed? Can you be more specific?

Probably because everyone usually waits until the ex is over...

We were very lucky with the weather to get some good sunsets!

I thought as you had posted on the below sites that we were ok to post Rick, also I have not mentioned anything about the ex until you did and except a couple of shots these images could have been taken anywhere?

An exceptionally good set of images Jon, by far the best Apache sunsets I've seen!

Jon, the pics on my flickr have around 5 or 6 views from friends...not 420+. There was what, 20+ photographers there on the Sunday and nobody has posted on the forums yet...you've been around for a while now to know how it lies so don't point it at me (But thanks for the plug). I wasn't having ago just answering that question.

Agree with above, the Merlin sunset is nice.

Yes it's a shame that due to Jon's actions some other photographers who aren't part of the SPTA Secret-Squirrel-Club might have gotten an opportunity to visit SPTA during this top secret exercise as well...

Was that a reply to my post? I just can't seem to work out the connection? Where have I mentioned secret squirrels? Top secret exercises? I don't care who goes to be honest...its a good atmosphere to get a good crowd down there...only you wouldn't see that.

Then why is it a problem that he posts shots before the exercise has ended?

Awesome thread Jon - probably my favourite modern military photo thread of the year so far. Some great angles and tremendous use of the light - something from that lot is certain to be POTW!

It was more the sunset than the action but there was a few taskings...
