8TH FEB: Head on with a couple of Shermans

Post by Lloyd H »

Popped down to my local airfield Halfpenny Green as I'd heard two Apaches had stopped off their. They turned out to be a very friendly air crew, a friend asked which way they were planning on departing and their reply was "where do you want us" :yahoo:

Hope you like the shots, any C+C is welcome

5. Tried a different edit of the shot above, bit of a rotation and mono treatment.

6. There was also an RAF Defender there..

Another for #5 - the black and white is really striking compared to the overcast colour shots.

These are just great Lloyd, outstanding set of images.... :win:

I love the edit, you have 100% nailed it - think I might want a copy on my office wall!

Did you get any contact details off the crew? I'm sure they would love these, drop me a PM if not and I'll ask when I see/talk to my mate next week.

Thanks everyone, seems the apache shots have gone down well everywhere. A big thanks to the crew as without their co-operation I wouldn't have got the shots and thanks to Ellins for asking which way they were departing!

Rich I've sent you a PM mate :ninja:

Number 5 very good, but I think if would have been better if you hadn't cropped the wheels and the rotor masts. Just my opinion for what it's worth.

My guess is that if you hadn't cropped out the wheels you'd easily be able to see that you'd rotated it. It's creative but I prefer the first three which are rather special.

AH look at their best head on for me. Getting 2 staring at you is top drawer. Especially like the last 2 AH shots.

Why didn't you use a better title to this thread, I nearly miissed these as a result. I suggest that the title should have been f****** brilliant Apache pictures

Not much I can add that hasn't already been said above (I agree with it all!) - a wonderful collection. Do like the head-on RAF defender,

Thanks for sharing.
