It amused me, now that the ban has been enforced, to read that a local water authority estimates that the ban will save 5% of water used and that they have been able to prevent 15% of their leaks. So they are still leaking 85% and the ban will save 5%. :wat: :dizzy:

Not sure why but Cambridge Water, who I'm with, doesn't have a hosepipe ban but everywhere around us has. We're the white area attached to VEC in the map below from the BBC web.

Just like 1976 all over again, they were great days too, only difference is we actually had some decent weather back then.... I'm quite sure that during this terrible period, the golf courses, cricket greens, football pitches and all of the fake green areas around the Olympics abomination will be watered to within an inch of their lives.....

I am pretty sure Bahrain will impose a hosepipe ban soon.... :tumbleweed:

If it does I will just have to go to the local river for water... but wait, there are no rivers in the whole country! I guess I'll have to go to the local lake then... but wait, there are no lakes on the island either! As a last resort I'll have to collect rain water during the winter... but wait, it rains about twice a year! The water here must be magic... :hypno: ... just like the petrol!
