The Hawker Bi-planes are the ones I'm waiting upon. Five will be excellent. Looking forward to plenty of USAAF hardware as well given the anniversary!

Going to be interesting seeing how things turn out between Legends and Waddo. I'm still not sure about my plans for that weekend.

They are two very different shows, each excellent in its own way, so it's a decision between warbird heavy or a diverse mix of old and new.

75 days to go and its getting closer. All quite on the TFC front haven't seen an update on there website since Snafu run pics/video of 2nd April, all hard at work bringing us lovely's i hope.

Interesting to note though Willow runs Thunder over Michigan has a P51 feast http://www.yankeeairmuseum.org/airshow/ (ile get there one year) half those would be good together in the UK specially in East Anglia this year. Wonder what American air power we will be exhibited to

My wish list 10 P51's and the entire TFC fleet airborne :worship: (if Mr paper work will allow)

TFC are keeping their powder dry!! But let's hope they really "push the boat out" as it is a "special" year for several reasons.

Get up, man!! Yes, indeed but I did have the Queen's Jubilee year in mind as well......simply from a celebratory point of view not because of a "warbird" link.

Flying Legends is on the schedule of Mattias Dolderer which most likely means a return of the Red Bull Corsair.

Does anyone know why we don't see any 2 seat Spitfires at the show?

It has been said in the past that The Fighter Collection does not like trainer versions of fighters at the show. I think this is proved nonsense by the fact TFC fly a SeaFury T20 and a TF-51D Mustang as part of their collection.
Ultimately its about putting on a great show with a good variety of aircraft and if they feel 2 seater Spitfires are not required thats really up to the organisers. It certainly does not distract from the great show Legends is.

My hopes and dreams for the show are "Snafu" for sure and the following would be great,Mitsubishi Zero(this replica one is for sale http://www.courtesyaircraft.com/Current ... eplica.htm , P-38 or 2, as many Sea Furies that can be mustered, a Hawker Biplane 5 ship, Me109 and Buchons and most of all a safe airshow weekend.

Personally, I don't enjoy seeing the 2-seat Spitfires anyway.
Single-seat Spitfire is beautiful.
2-seat Spitfire is ugly.

Just my opinion :-D

Indeed and your are entitled to it. It's just that, even if some classic aircraft are aesthetically more pleasing than others, for me that is an irrelevance against the pleasure in seeing any classic aircraft fly - ugly or not.

To be fair to TFC they have to plan a show which includes a lot of aircraft. Spits are always well represented at Legends, and no doubt will be this year especially with the latest additions to the UK warbird scene. Don't forget there is not a lot of space along that flight-line when all is there. IXT's are really not needed.

I was lucky enough to meet Mrs Grace a few years ago and she was very friendly. She spent the best part of 30 minutes talking to me and my grandfather about the Spitfire, her flying and, at the time, her goal to get Richard flying the aircraft one day. I asked her if we would ever see her flying at Legends and I was told, by her, that "The Fighter Collection did not like 2 seat Spitfires as they did not represent the type in service and as Legends held strict terms about historical accuracy, she has never been invited". Very disappointing really... That aircraft has so much more history than the majority of the data plate restorations they they have flying there...
