Well done SilentFlight and team!!

I was one of the few people that went to RIAT to see them last year on the saturday but the awful weather meant they cancelled on that day.

I'm thrilled that they are coming to Waddington!!! they had always said in public that they wanted to come to waddo in the UK!!!

Well Done again!!!!!

The display this year will be awesome!

If they are flying at Yeovilton and Waddington, I'd be astounded if they don't do Fairford & Farnborough too, so there will be plenty of opportunity to see them in the UK this year... looking forward to the Orliks myself.

Great news about the Saudi Hawks! I can't wait to see green hawks as well as red hawks flying. I can't believe how many national display teams are going to be at Waddington this year, it's going to be a fantastic weekend. Silent Flight and the rest of the organizers have done an amazing job. I hope the French send something interesting over too. I wonder what Saab are displaying at waddington...

Doesn't appear Waddington will get a F-4F on static for their swan song  Germany listed as declined  Fingers crossed for RIAT or Leuchars etc

It's a shame the Germans have declined this year, but I'm hopeful the on going negotiations with france, Thailand, canada, new zeland, Spain and Croatia will lead to some exciting additions to the line up! Ben

You do realise most of the aircraft you've posted photos of couldn't get to the UK, unless they were transported in the back of a heavy-lifter don't you? It's a hell of a long way to come just to please some UK aviation enthusiasts. Do you see the RAF sending our assets around the globe for them to enjoy... (No is the answer). We're EXTREMELY lucky to have the RAAF Wedgetail on the static at Waddington this year and should be pleased with that.

He's pinching my ideas! I suggested putting the Red Checkers in a C-17 for a Jubilee visit.....after all she's their Queen as well, they should share some of the expense and burden! :king:

You are like a child. Can you stop asking for aircraft to attend - it is very boring now.

The RAAF are sending an aircraft.

For your information, the RAF did not bother to attend the RNZAF 75th anniversary show last month - why should they send aircraft in return?

I don't think there was a need for that sort of comment. We all know that when it comes to Waddington Craig gets over excited, but that's just his massive enthusiasm for the show.

My trip to Waddo has yet to be confirmed - I doubt very much wether I'll make it down now unfortunately - but if I do make it I just hope that if anything does appear from down New Zealand way then please make it a P-3 Orion.

Polish AF now have a very attractive camo CASA, which would be nice, the French Grobs are truly awful things, but hey ho, too many good things on the list to worry about that (can we have any Mirage instead please  ).

Gutted to hear about the cancellation of the 2x Apache in the flying display, great to see the CASA C295M Confirmed.
But can't complain as there is still plenty to see

Probably because the aircrew and airframes are need for more important things. Takes a lot of time to practice then to PDA for a handful of shows. Is/ was the Apache demo down for any other shows?

The Army Air Corps were in talks with RIAT for the Apache Role Demo but discussions were ongoing.

1/3/2012 from RIAT

Army Air Corps: Talks are at an advanced stage with the Army Air Corps to bring two Apaches and a Lynx to the Air Tattoo for the flying display. At last week's European Airshow Council convention in Brussels, the Air Tattoo delegation caught up with George Bacon, of the AAC, who said he felt it was looking very positive to field the three aircraft in a potential 'role demo' theme to re-inforce our current operational activities. He said: "We have stopped short of resurrecting the Blue Eagles as a full display team but that remains an option for 2013."

There will still be AH displays from the Apaches this year, but there may be some changes, just for June. But as always things change back and forth!
