Hello all,

Having finally managed to see the Boeing World Tour Aeroplane in the air, I waited aroound to see it up close.
After a rare spell of dry weather when it arrived, it eventually appeared outside the West Pen just as the heavens opened....

Then, half an hour later I arrived for the first of the Engineering tours....in bright sunshine, with the aeroplane inside!!!!

Hi all,

Thanks for all your comments, I'm glad you liked them.

I had to work most of this weekend non stop but did get a couple of hours this morning at about 2am, so took the oppurtunity to get these two pictures.
They were taken in driving rain and howling winds through a partially open vehicle window and hand held so not as sharp as I would like!!!!
Hope you like them.

Thanks Kenny, I think someone has said she leaves tomorrow, although it is in the West Pen for two VIP events all day so probably later rather than earlier.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Jeff,

Very nice detail shots of the 787 in the West Pen on Friday and also your last two shots in the driving rain!  I wish I could have made it to the event on Saturday and the one on base the follow Monday.

Hopefully you can get some there!

Cheers,
Lance

Lovely set of an amazing aeroplane! Seems a bit of a reverse of the 60s/70s, with Europe's "economy" A380 taking on the more refined Boeing Dreamliner, instead of 747 versus Concorde!
