That sir is the question! Heavy falls again today and then, as you say, drying up somewhat. Hopefully staff and volunteers will be putting down huge numbers of "one sheets" to soak it all up.

Looks cloudy all day though per Met Office, too many miles and too much money for average shots sadly, shame as it was a great line up.

With the amount of water lying on the surface it's going to take more than 3 days, even with wall to wall sunshine, to dry out around here.

With temperatures forecast for +1 Saturday night into Sunday, there will be frost around as well.

Tempted to head down on Sunday, depending on the weather of course.

My thanks to you and 'DaveS' for your replies; I must have missed the news item. I was watching some of my video from 2009 last night and these aeroplanes make an appearance. I can only assume the sale happened in the winter 2009-10.

Doesn't at all promising for Sunday; never mind.

Just had a phone call from the lovely Sharon at Shuttleworth to say the show on Sunday has been cancelled due to a waterlogged airfield.

Shame. I was really looking forward to that.

My season starts at Duxford then - Jubilee airshow. And maybe I'll make my first trip to Old Warden the weekend after that (mid-Summer airshow).

Weather permitting, of course :-/
