Sadly the two and a half hour drive to see a Deltic ended up in failure, but it was a good day anyway.

Because so many of the guest locomotives failed to appear another form of motive power was pressed into service.

Great set, pity that "didn't go to plan" doesn't come close to describing this event though :sad:

Superb to see 50026 back in traffic, not bad for a loco that was labelled beyond help when bought :cool:

Great shot's, especially the "Hoover".......Wish I could have gone for a bit of 50 haulage!!
