I haven't posted in this thread for a while, but was prompted to do so while walking into the town centre today. I passed a van parked in front of a house. The vehicle belongs to a company whose name I will not mention, but will refer to as "xxxxxx" who manufacture and supply pumps.
The livery on their vans used to read simply "xxxxxx Pumps".
Now it reads "xxxxxx Fluid Transfer Solutions".
Another example of pretentious corporate-speak. A bucket is also an effective (though admittedly slower) method of "fluid transfer".
