We've visited a few times over the years, especially the air days they used to put on...had some good fortune in our visits there,Spitfire,Mustang etc...best must have been on the 18th May 1980,we were visiting the RSPCA centre nearby not knowing they had an air day,saw the advertising sign nearby, called in and witnessed a great Mossie display over the rear corn fields!(T3 RR299)

When I first visited the museum, the finished Mossie was outside, got a pic of me hanging on to it somewhere!
John Cunningham was at the museum one visit,I've got a couple of signed photo's which was special..

Nice museum and very friendly one too, some years ago my wife and I went to a wedding not to far from the museum,I didn't tell anyone I was from another museum as I like just being an average joe when not on museum workings. But I had the great fortune that day to be very lucky to not just sit in 634 but also the prototype on the same day, this for me is one of the most special visits I have ever made to any museum and am very proud to have had the chance to fulfil a dream. Thank you De Havilland for allowing me such a gift.

The prototype. What's not to like. That's one of those museums (Tangmere's another) that I visited totally by accident; my Canon had a big processor failure there so I need a return visit. Oh dear. What a hardship.
